Marketing Director, Stan
Melanie joined Stan late in 2015 to spearhead a gun team of marketers and cement Stan’s position as the local leader in the game-changing SVOD category.
Melanie Novacan is currently the Director of Marketing for leading local SVOD brand Stan. She recently spearheaded the launch of the re-boot of the cult-classic ‘Wolf Creek’ as a TV series, as well as campaigns for other exclusive-to-Stan TV shows, Billions, Unreal, Power and Younger, whilst taking Stan’s subscriber growth from strength to strength across the country.
Previously, she worked at the CommBank holding posts, including Head of Brand & Acquisition for CommSec, leading brand strategy and development, culminating in the launch of a new brand campaign for the digital arm of CommBank.
Prior to this, Melanie held roles in Telstra and BigPond, spearheading the launch of streaming movies and sport in Australia as well as product and platform launches, including mobile broadband and NextG. She started her marketing career in sport marketing, publishing in roles with the NRL and the local publisher of Rolling Stone Magazine.
