Lucien Boyer is Chief Marketing Officer at Vivendi, the leading integrated media and content group.
In cooperation with Vivendi’s different businesses, he is responsible for accelerating the development of integrated marketing offers within the Group, and identifying partners willing to associate their brands to the Group’s activities in the fields of talent, live events, merchandising, as well as in content production, broadcast and distribution.
Before joining Vivendi, Lucien has been the President & Global Chief Executive Officer of Havas Sports & Entertainment for nearly 15 years, after having sold Lifestyle Management Group, the company he founded in 1991, to Havas. He created one of the world’s leading sports & entertainment networks, as Havas Sports & Entertainment boasts today more than 600 professionals in 30 countries, delivering award-winning innovative brand engagement solutions for brands such as Coca-Cola, Barclays, Orange and Louis Vuitton.
Lucien Boyer has been an industry pioneer in sponsorship activation, branded content, experiential marketing, fan engagement and social entertainment. Lucien began his career with the French Challenge in the America’s Cup in the mid-80s before joining Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in 1987. He then became Director of Marketing for the Larousse-Lola-Lamborghini Formula 1 racing team for three years.
Beyond his management role, Lucien is recognized as one of today’s leading experts in sports and entertainment marketing. He initiated the creation of the Global Sports Forum, of which he was the General Commissioner, a global debate platform around the sports industry’s future challenges.
Lucien is a frequent speaker at many international conferences including Advertising Week Europe and New-York, Sporsora’s annual congress and the Ivy Sports Symposium amongst others. He has also been featured in many influential media including Bloomberg TV, The Guardian and Le Figaro as well as industry journals such as SportsPro, SportBusiness and SportCal.
A graduate from ESSEC Business School, Lucien Boyer is 52 years old. He is married, has three sons and lives in London. Lucien Boyer is passionate about sailing, skiing, the Olympics and music.
